New Van for the Tom Green County CIU

The Tom Green County Crisis Intervention Unit is a volunteer organization (with 2 paid staff) that responds to calls from law enforcement to go to the scene of a crime or crisis and assist victims. Our unit is funded by a grant from the Attorney General's office, the City of San Angelo and Tom Green County. The funding only covers salaries and a few office supplies. We are not a 501-(c)3, but we are non-profit, so donations are tax deductible. The current CIU van is a 2000 Olds Silhouette and was purchased with proceeds from fundraisers. Our van has responded to thousands of calls over the years and is worn out. We are holding fundraisers to earn part of the money needed for a new van and are working on a grant. As we all know, financial assistance is becoming more difficult to find. We appreciate any help you may give.
