Veterinary Surgery for my Pug

My pug Lucy was diagnosed with diabetes approximately 2 months ago. She already had a healthy diet but we modified it further, and she seemed to be doing better, then practically overnight she went completely blind.

It is about $2000 for cataract surgery on one eye and $3000 for both, but I think even operating on just one, for now, would really improve her sight. Not that I wouldn't love to do both but $2000 is a huge amount of money for me, let alone $3000.

I can provide documentation of her blindness if need be, I'd just need to have the vet write a letter.
