Help Save Historic Bain School

Unless we can raise funds to save it, our Historic Bain will be demolished! Founded in 1889 by John Bain, the school is reported to be the oldest school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg System (NC). Our historic auditorium, designed  by noted architect Louis Asbury, and built in 1924 and has served at least five generations.  Our plans are to restore the auditorium to its original purpose as a place for theater, dance, musical performances and educational presentations to be used and enjoyed by the entire community. When the restoration is complete, the Historic Bain Center can once again become the center of community life in Mint Hill, North Carolina and a destination for the surrounding area.
