Lifetime mission to Thailand!

Life time mission to Thailand! Blessing two and four legged creatures alike
.

“We have known each other since we were knee high to a little person.”

We hope our opening line made you smile, because it embodies our friendship in every sense. Full of humor and a lifelong understanding of one another that makes our bond inseparable. Three friends are embarking on an invaluable journey to the beautiful and mystic country of Thailand. During our stay we will bless Thailand with charity that will consist of physical labor, as well as giving our time to interact to locals.

We will be in the Northern City of Chaing Mai where we will volunteer at their world famous Elephant Park. We will be feeding and nurturing the Endangered Asian Elephants, as well as being educated on these peaceful creatures. Another opportunity that we are partaking in, is at the Sahai Nan Organic Permaculture Farm. This is a 100% sustainable, organic farm, and we will be there helping to preserve the sustainability of this farm with the area’s natives.

This will be a learning experience beyond our wildest imagination and we are excited to be going on this journey. So far we have contacted the agencies and arranged plans to be in Thailand from the end of September until the beginning of October. We have our passports in hand and are ready to go!  With your assistance, you can be a part of the thought, that enacts action and exhibits change in the world! Thank you for anything(from $1-$2000) that you may be able to contribute towards our goal of $3,500, which will help the causes in an unimaginable way! Thank you all

INTRODUCTING THE FRIENDS

Terrance Mathis: an Alumnus of Florida State University; he is currently working as a counselor for at-risk youth and is in the process of applying to graduate school. Terrance's daily work consists of motivating and inspiring youth ages 6-17 that there is no adversity that they can't pick themselves up from. Aside from Terrance's work he has also been involved in a number of other volunteer projects as well. He has had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans, Louisiana with the Habitat for Humanity, there he aided in building habitat homes for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and also experienced living in one of the refuge shelters for his time there. He also was a summer youth counselor who taught under privilege kids the importance of technology and the use of computers. Visiting many times at the Miracle Hill retirement home and the Thomas County Humane Society etc. giving back to those who are less fortunate is something Terrance has never been a stranger of, gaining priceless experiences like those aforementioned and the ones to come resonates dear humility to not only him but Ifeanyi and Marcus as well.

Marcus Thompkins: is a recent graduate of Florida International University and is currently teaching English in Dalian, China. Though he focused on Finance during his studies, he is one with a vision that is intent on changing the world through service and love towards both man and the natural environment. He’s traveled to Guatemala where he participated with Long Way Home and helped build a school out of recycled materials and sought to educate locals on properly discarding their waste. Through his many adventures in life, he has come to an understanding that fear is life’s biggest magician, and by discarding fear whenever possible, your most vivid dreams will become the most beautiful reality.

Ifeanyi Korie: is an Alumnus of Florida A&M University, and currently works as a full time entrepreneur. One of the things he does is run a positivity encouragement blog, were he gives advice to his followers and spreads positivity. He has also been a volunteer summer youth counselor two summers in a row. As an event assistant and/or coordinator he has helped assist events that have raised thousands of dollars for the American Red Cross and Nami (National Alliance on Mental Illness). He believes that when a child dies of starvation, it’s not because of the lack of supplies but because someone failed to answer the call of duty to help.
