LEE MEMORIAL BUS

Dear Donor,
This story comes to you because of a recent tragedy:: we lost Lee Weathersby III to gun violence in Oakland, CA on January 1, 2014. Not only has a mother, father and family lost someone but, a community has been affected by an angel gone too soon. For the last two years Nicole and Jesus Rodriguez has opened their homes and their hearts to Oakland inner city youth. Lee became a part of a youth group that was mentored along with 10-12 kids. The youth would invite others from their school to church services on Wednesday nights as well as Sunday morning service. Jesus and Nicole would disciple these youth in the things of God. They would not only pack out their suburban but, make several trips to get their family and all these kids to church so they could build a relationship with God. Their home was open to the youth every single day for movie nights, fundraiser and other church events. Lee was one that was always around and he was never afraid to tell anyone about God he knew how to serve people. All the youth built a very strong bond and became the best of friends and shared their faith with one another. Not only did they spend twice a week in church but, they became connected like family. In honor of Lee Weathersby III we will be raising finances to purchase a bus that will be dedicated to the life and legacy that Lee has left behind for the youth to follow. We need your help to get this bus so more inner city youth can learn about God. We want to further this growing ministry and we appreciate all donations no matter what the amount. Lee was a very special child he could light up a room with his smile and humor. Help us to be able to find more kids like Lee that will lay down there life for The Lord and help to save more of our children.
