Graduate School Trip for Mom!!

My mother in my inspiration. She is wise, kind, and always encourages me to pursue my dreams even if they are on a whim. She is always willing to help anyone in need, and has always opened our home to others, no matter how long they need a to stay. This last year she decided to get her Master's degree in Co-occuring Disorders and Drug & Alcohol Couseling. This summer she has the opportunity to attend a two week class in London, UK as credit towards her degree. (July 16-August 2). This last year has also been one of the most financially difficult years we've had. She's been laid off a few of her previous jobs due to grant cuts in the programs for which she was working. She is excellent at anything she sets out to do, whether social work or advocating for the sexually abuse, counseling emotionally struggling teenagers or simply being a listener to nursing home residents. Due to our struggles with trying to keep up with our house payments and other obligations, she has applied for a scholarship to help fund her once-in-a-lifetime trip for class to London. But the scholarship alone isn't enough to fund her trip. My mother raised me as a traveler, so we've always been each other's travel buddy. We get along like sisters, and I'd rather travel with her than anyone else. I can't wait to see what incredible things and amazing help she will be able to offer anyone lucky enough to encounter her, especially after her class in London. Help her get there!! Thank you!
