50 Miles For Hope

On August 23rd I will be running the Baker's Trail 50 Mile Ultramarathon. I have always enjoyed running but recently I have been challenged by Christ to use my hobbies for His Kingdom purposes. Back in the summer of 2012, I had the privilege of going with a team to visit Gulu, Uganda and serve Children of Hope, an orphanage our church supports. I fell in love with the country and the people. Since then, our church has purchased 20 acres of land with the vision to start building "Hope Church" and multiple homes for the many orphans and widows in the area. My goal is to raise $10,000 for this cause. My husand Greg will be traveling this summer to survey the land and start the building process.
