Getting Something Off My Chest

Donation protected
Hi there,

This is me (see above). Take a look at my picture, and then let me tell you about all the things I'm interested in. I love and am dedicating myself to the field of public health, if I could I would travel around the world collecting stories for a lifetime, I keep a hive of honeybees with my family, and just bought my first motorcycle last summer. But, the one main thing that I don't love, the one thing that people notice most about my picture, is my breasts.

I can't come close to estimating the number of times that I've heard comments like: "you have HUGE boobs!" "I'm so jealous." "Work "˜em!" "If you've got it flaunt it, you DEFINITELY have it." Those are all somewhat easy to field and laugh off. There are other comments, most of them made in high school, that weren't so fun and encouraging. Big Tits McGee followed me through high school thanks to some immature boy. Strangers at a dinner gala I was recently working at asked if they could motorboat me, so they could experience it. I do my best, I laugh at the "23 things only ladies with big boobs will understand" posted on my wall and make fun of myself when having to accidentally run to catch up with my friends.

But, truth being told, having a ~15 pound chest, is really difficult. I wake up with back pain, have permanent chafing lines where my underwire rests, and wear two sports bras when going to the gym. This brings me to that daunting number in my goal bar. After being deemed the perfect candidate by my surgeon, setting a date of May 21st, and anticipating the change of a lifetime, my insurance (lookin' at you CIGNA) denied me. If there was ever something I've wanted in life, it's this surgery. So, I'm asking friends, family, acquaintances, enemies, babies, strangers, to consider throwing $5 my way. I don't have a lot to offer in return but here's what I got: if you live close to me and need a house/pet/babysitter, I'm pretty damn good (having a sister who's 10 years younger is all the experience you need!). If you don't live close and are a really awesome, considerate person, I've got some pretty stellar cow jokes that are waiting to be written and delivered in a homemade card.

If you can't donate, don't feel bad! There are plenty of causes I'd love to throw my money at, but being a broke college student, I totally get that it just isn't in the cards sometimes. First, thanks for reading! It feels good to get this all off my chest finally (pun was sort of intended). Second, do you mind sharing my cause? Sometimes that's the most helpful bit of all!
