Meet our precious son Deutsch Puu Jr also known as The Champ. The Champ is fighting a rare disease called Spinal Muscle Atrophy Type1 (SMA). 3 years ago The Champ's lungs both collapsed causing him to undergo surgery for a tracheostomy & g-tube. He is currently on 24 hours ventilator support. Like most SMA kids with daily routines of treatments ,medicines & making the best out of life? The Champ has beaten the odds of life expectancy of 2 years given by the experts.

*SMA children with the most severe form often face quickly increasing muscle weakness, leading to paralysis and death.
*One of every 6,000 children born are affected by sma.
*Onenout of 40 people, most unknowingly, carry this deadly gene.
*Some statistics show sma to be twice as common as als.
*There is no cure
He is now 4 years old and is in a constant battle with SMA. Although he is doing well at home with care we now have just one setback. We would like to provide The Champ with the opportunity to get out and enjoy life, but we lack a vehicle that can transport him. My husband and I have located a vehicle that meets all specifications needed for all of his equipments. The vehicle is called the MV-1 built by Mobility Ventures. We humbly ask for your assistance in the form of a monetary donation to help us fund this vehicle for our son. The total cost for this wheelchair accessible vehicle is $50,000.
