Dearborn Mosque needs our help!
A Masjid's Call on its community and it is not the Athan
Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh:)
Brothers and sisters, the American Moslem Society (Masjid Dearborn) desperately needs our help! It is located at 9945 Vernor Hwy, Dearborn, Michigan 48120. About 3 weeks ago, the ceiling in the women's prayer area suddenly collapsed. Alhamdallah (thanks to Allah) there were no women or children present, so no one got hurt. However, the women have been unable to pray there and instead pray in the men's smaller middle prayer area. Now, the entire prayer area is being remodeled. The ceiling, the fans, the walls, the wiring, the heat, the entrance and exits, and even the windows. The insurance refused to pay for the repairs & a paper has been posted in the Masjid detailing the reasons. If you need one, we can scan one and send it back.

Any of you who are familiar with Masjid Dearborn during Ramadan, know that it becomes absolutely filled! And with the entire women's area closed, it will be a HUGE challenge and a big hassle if we don't solve this problem in time for Ramadan! That is why we need everyone's help in the community and everyone else who is willing to donate for the sake of Allah to help get this ceiling fixed! It costs about $70,000 to fix it ($69,400 to be exact,) and I know it seems like a lot of money, but I am SURE that if we all can just donate ANYTHING we can, even five dollars, that we can definitely do something about this! In shaa Allah!
