How To Kill Yourself... And Live!, which chronicles my life as an orphaned child turned homeless youth trying to navigate through the world. Sometimes depressed, sometimes even suicidal, eventually find my way with help from the arts through music, writing and healing.
As the Executive Director and volunteer with StandUp For Kids, a small group of us helped bring much needed supplies and support to homeless youth. At times, all of our hard work felt like a small drop in a bucket. The need is still great and it will be until people decide to "SEE" the invisible youth and make sure no child is ever left alone on the streets. I feel I can be most valuble to youth by sharing my story of homelessness and inspire them to preserver.
I would like to take this presentation to shelters and organizations that help the homeless, in particular teens. By giving out 100 copies of the book to the youth in Cincinnati and by talking with them and sharing stories. Please help by making a donation for this cause. Thank you!
