Van Der Sluijs Sisters - WEG 2014

Hi!
We are Angelique and Jeanine van der Sluijs. Together we represent Canada in Equestrian Vaulting in the Pas De Deux division! Most of you might know who we are, and what we do. But in case this is your first introduction - we will tell you what we're up to in 2014!
Equestrian Vaulting is the thrilling sport of gymnastics and dance performed on a cantering horse. And in our case - the two of us perform a routine together in harmony with our horse! It's quite exciting to see, and we hope that we can share our journey with you this year!
2014 is a big year for us - we are working towards the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Normandy, France this fall! To reach our goal of representing Canada at the games, we first have to qualify by meeting the set criteria at International Events (CVIs).
Our first CVI of the season will be CVI Pacific Cup in Hollister, California on May 2-4. We will follow that one with CVI Canada Cup in Chilliwack, BC on May 23-25. If we have not reached the criteria by the end of May, we will then travel to Europe in June to continue our quest.
Now this is where you come in! We simply can't do it on our own... The qualifying competitions are of huge expense if you factor in all the travel costs, horse transportation, entry fees etc. etc. And then, if we have a successful qualifying season and (hopefully) qualify for WEG - we will head over to Europe for training, preparing, and then competing! It's an amazing journey - something we are very much enjoying while we are on it, and we are also thrilled to find out what else this season may bring us. However, we need some help!
So if you think you can support us in any way, we would truly appreciate it! And in return, we will take you along on our journey by posting updates, photos, videos and more, here as we head out on our greatest adventure yet!!!
