Adam Avalos' Eagle Project

Dear family and friends,

Many of you know that I've been in scouting since I was 6 years old as a Tiger Cub in Burbank, CA. Since then, 10 years ago, I have achieved numerous ranks, accomplishments, and recognition while on my way to the highest rank in Boy Scouts, Eagle.

For my Eagle project, I have chosen to blend together the service of Boy Scouts with my love for music that also began in elementary school, with my first band teacher, Mr. David Lee Sellers at Windy Ridge Elementary in Orlando.

The goal of an Eagle project is to "demonstrate leadership of others while performing a project for the benefit of the community." I will be building customized shelving units for the Windy Ridge band program, that are 8 ft. long x 6 ft. tall, padded, painted, and on castors for easy transporting backstage.

As part of the project, I need to raise the dollars needed for the supplies. Fortunately, most of the wood has been donated by Signature Flooring, saving approximately $400. The remaining $650 is needed to complete the project.

I am writing to ask if you'd like to donate any amount to this project. In return, you'll have my sincere thanks and gratitude, and an invitation to my Eagle Scout Ceremony, when I complete the requirements to earn the rank.
