Luke Brehm was in a car accident on, April 10, 2014, shortly before 4:00 p.m. The accident happened on the corner of First and Virginia in Evansville, Indiana.

Luke is still in a coma. His eyes are responsive to light, he is responsive to pain, and his slight movements make us hopeful that he is becoming responsive to commands.
Luke's brain trauma is the only serious injury. He has a small fracture to his vertebrae and a laceration and minor fracture on his head. Luke is still struggled with fevers and raised heart rates in the past few days. He is on a ventilator but is doing some breathing on his own. The doctors, family, and friends are hoping for a full recovery.

Samuel Brehm, Luke's only relative in the area, was by Luke's side the moment he heard the news. Other family traveled in immediately to help Samuel, and his parents arrived from
China Saturday evening. Currently Luke is being encouraged by his mom, dad, three brothers, his girlfriend, and a network of many, many prayers.

When Luke wakes up, it is our hope that he can focus on getting back to running, basketball, college, environmental design, and laughing with his friends and family.

If anyone is interested in helping Luke financially so that he can focus on recovering when he wakes up, here is the place to give. Luke has an apartment that he has to continue paying rent on, he no longer has a working car, he will have many bills to pay, and he may have rehab to do after he is released. Thank you for all your prayers!
