Victoria's Road to Miss Florida America

On Sunday, March 16, 2014, I was blessed to be crowned Miss Coral Gables 2014. Honored to represent 'The City Beautiful' and the home of my alma mater, the University of Miami, I will be vying for the prestigious title of Miss Florida 2014 and the chance to represent the great state of Florida on the Miss America stage in Atlantic City.
A senior at the University of Miami, I will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Religious Studies. In the future I aspire to become a renowned physician who is fortunate enough to have fulfilled a lifelong passion for medicine, while continuing to give back to those in need through community outreach. My personal platform is "C2C"- Commitment to Character through which I works with local youth to promote the four core character values of respect, responsibility, self-motivation and honesty, hence cultivating increased self-esteem and promoting academic success. Given the Miss America Organization's partnership with the Children's Miracle Network, I also work closely with my local CMN hospital by volunteering with the children and fundraising.
Priding themselves of assisting young women in achieving their educational goals, the Miss America is the largest provider of scholarship money to young women throughout the nation; last year alone over $45 million in scholarships were awarded at the local, state, and national levels. From wardrobe to advertisement, the costs can quickly add up; with help from family, friends and supporters, like you, I can reach for my dreams!
I truly appreciate the immense support and encouragement you all have shown me and support in any capacity would mean the world to me. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small; I am thankful for anything you are able to give. This dream cannot be achieved alone and I am so thankful to have all of you as a part of my journey!
