Marco Island is an affluent society and it is hard to believe that there are families right now in Goodland, Everglades City and Chokoloskee who have no access to food, water, clean clothing, habitable shelter and a means to stay cool in this hot and humid climate.
The Marco Patriots and we as owners of The Marco Review have joined together to help in these difficult circumstances.
Marco Island is famous for its generosity and now it's time for us to help some of our own. Please donate generously and we will ensure that everything (with the exception of the 5% fee that 'gofundme' takes) will go to these families, some with young children and babies, to help with their immediate needs and to rebuild their lives. Donations will help with supplies, repairs to property in the most needy of circumstances but will not be given in cash.
The Marco Review is a visitor magazine primarily focused on Marco Island and the surrounding areas. We have owned and published it since March 1994 and have a significant amount of credibility in the area. The Marco Patriots are a team of volunteers established just prior to hurricane Irma and spearheaded by Capt Ron Hagerman who has an eco-tour business on Marco and is one of our customers. He helped in the clean up and rescue after Katrina and more recently after Harvey. They have the expertise on the ground have been rescuing people, supplying food, gas, provisions and dealing with fallen trees etc etc. They know who needs the funding and we will provide the funds from the account most likely by check and not funds transfer. The Marco Review consists of myself, my wife and one daughter. You can see our magazine on line at:

I will administer the funds on behalf of The Marco Review and Erin Milchman at the Marco Patriots will receive the funds for purchasing supplies etc. No cash payments will be made to recipients.
The Marco Review magazine has been helping visitors enjoy Marco Island since 1994 and we believe that together with the Marco Patriots we can make a difference.
