Hello everyone,
I am popularly known as Glory Okezie, but my full name is Glory Be To God Okezie. This is my final year as a Master’s Degree student in Behavioral Sciences with a focus in Family Studies and Interventions at Walden University. My projected graduation date is March 2018.
Walden University is giving us the opportunity to participate in an educational tour of South Africa; to learn about their history, culture and the cuisine of Johannesburg, Timbavati, as well as interact with Cape Town community. This tour is an 11-day trip scheduled for March 17-27, 2018.
It will be my first trip to South Africa and a dream come true, as well as an opportunity to see a different city, a different culture, take a tour of Soweto, visit the homes of Winnie Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu, former home of Nelson Mandela and a guided tour of Johannesburg, with a visit to the Apartheid Museum, and learn the way the people interact with one another, the way they live.
This trip will afford me the chance to experience the diverse culture of South Africa due to its past as a colony of the Dutch and British. It will be a great privilege to experience one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World, including adventure in the great outdoors! In addition, this educational tour offers me a first-hand experience to impact the lives of both the motherless children and orphans (my passion). Please make their dreams come true by helping to make mine a reality.
I am asking for monetary donations to help me reach my goal of $7,000.00. With your help, I will be able to broaden my educational goals on a global scale and return to Walden University to step into my current graduation date of March 2018. I will be posting pictures of my 11- day trip to South Africa. When I return, you will constantly be updated about my trip.

This educational tour has brought me a unique opportunity to broaden my horizons as I take this trip into the South African culture.
