Hello my friend,
My name is Cherry Oquindo and I go to Calvary Chapel Perris Valley.
God has given me an opportunity to go on a mission trip to Japan. I've been blessed to go on three missions trip to Japan after the earthquake and tsunami disaster in the Tohoku region of Japan in 2011 and 2012. Our team will be working with a few Calvary Chapels based in Japan to minster to the Japanese people God's love and share the Gospel with them.
Why Japan? There's only 1% Christian population in Japan and there's still a lot of Japanese who have never heard the Gospel and Jesus has commanded us Christians to go into all the world and share the Gospel with them. Japan has been in my heart since the disaster happened and God has put a love for the people and the country in my heart. I still think of Mika, the young girl I met when I first went to Japan in June 2011; she has never heard of Jesus until I shared with her about Him. I pray that I'll get to see her again and see how God has grown the seed that has been planted in her heart.

Please pray for the ministries who continue to work with the victims of the disaster. Pray for their encouragement, health and strength, and that they would have rest in The Lord.
Please pray for those who have heard the Gospel, that it would just grow in their hearts and that they would call on Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.
Please pray for our mission team - our health, safety, financial needs, and planning for the trip. Pray for our encouragement and endurance.
