Decolonize & Anti-Oppression tour 2014

It's time for the 2014 Decolonize & Anti-Oppression community workshop tour!
Based out of unceded & occupied Coast Salish Territory (Vancouver), the tour will be stopping in communities/towns/major cities across the colony of Canada as far as occupied Mohawk/Kanienkehaka/Haudenosaunee territory (Montréal).
Workshops will include:
Decolonization 101
Anti-Oppression 101 & 102
Basic grassroots, horizontal, collective community organizing principles
Help us in creating a successful tour - this is not about money-making... but about having our costs covered. This includes:
- gas (~$2300)
- food (~$250)
- accommodation (~$250)
- ASL interpretation (TBD)
Generally, we have relied on the communities hosting our workshops to cover these costs... This has proven to be inconsistent and also a burden for community groups and organizations with little to no funding. This year we are also attempting to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation at our workshops as well.
