Our family is expanding!
Because of some personal circumstances we're in the process of being approved to take custody of and adopt our two nephews who are 7 months and 19 months old. This will bring us from a family of 7 to a family of 9! We need to do some upgrading in order to make room, and we'd love to give you the opportunity to help if you feel led to do so.
Above all else, what we'd really like is prayer. Prayer for a smooth transition. Prayer for the situation that necessitated this, and peace for all involved. Prayer that ultimately all the glory will be given to the One in charge of all of this - Jesus Christ.
A few people have asked for ways they can help, and specifically requested this GoFundMe option - so even though this is a bit outside of my comfort zone - here we are.
Our specific needs at this time are:
*A bigger vehicle. We need an 8 or 9 seater, and our current SUV only seats 7.
*More dressers for the kids as we shuffle rooms around
*Various baby gear. I had gotten rid of all of my stuff after we had Amelia in 2013.
Those are the biggies. Specifically the vehicle is something I'm praying about, as it needs to happen semi-quickly, and what I'd really like ( a 9 passenger Suburban) aren't easy to come by. We'll be trading in our current SUV (which is paid off), but we're trying not to overextend ourselves on a monthly basis either.
