Hello again! I know it's been a while since my last update, but with September just around the corner, I thought I'd reach out to let you know what I've been up to and what's left to do.
I'm happy to say that to date I've raised and saved a total of $6,000. Over the last few months I've received gracious donations both through this site and offline, and I've worked my butt off with added hours, side jobs, and odd jobs to save up as much as I can! Hell Yeah!
I'm leaving in just 3 weeks, so I decided to put an end date on my fundraising here. If you've already given, thank you so much! You've really made it possible for me to put most of my attention toward training. If you have not yet donated and you would like to, I would greatly appreciate the support in raising the final thousand dollars toward my fundraising goal. This dream of mine is made possible by your generosity. Thank you so much!
I'm half way to my goal between what I've raised here and what I've saved & raised outside of this site! Also, I've been getting some press for my aerial adventures. Check it out and help me fund my dreams.
Hello! My name is Anne Marple and I am an aerial artist. I was just accepted to the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) intensive training program starting September 2014. This has been a dream of mine for many years, and I'm excited to be saying YES to this program.
During my audition at NECCA, I was asked to declare my area of focus in my circus studies: trapeze or aerial fabric. I realized at that moment that I had been avoiding making a declaration of what I want to do in my life. I am good at many things, but hadn't truly committed to any one path before. I am excited to change that and declare boldly, YES! I am going to focus on aerial fabric and use it as my medium to inspire others physically and artistically.
My goal is to train hard and kick butt at NECCA, then move back home to build a wonderful performance and teaching community in the place that I live and love: Eliot, Maine. I have set up this fund to help me cover the costs of tuition and of relocating to Vermont. The program runs from September-June in Brattleboro, which means that I will be leaving my job and my house, settling into an apartment and a part time job for the duration of the program. I welcome all forms of support from a heart felt "Way to go!" to the dollar donation of your choosing. Thank you so much for contributing to my goals and dreams. I can't wait to show you what I've learned!
