Cameras for Students in Photo Class

I am a photography teacher at Rubidoux High School in Riverside, CA. It is so exciting to have the opportunity of sharing photography with students that are excited and eager to learn.

We have a darkroom. The darkroom gives the students a chance to truly appreciate how photography works as well an opportunity to express their voice through a creative and analog experience.

At the moment right now we have about 15 film cameras. I am fortunate that we have those cameras, but among 150 students it is not much. Many students do not have the opportunity to excel due to the lack of equipment.

In order to help, I have started to bring my own equipment, but that is only another 3 cameras.

It is my desire to have a camera for each student to borrow during the school year so they can have more time taking photographs. Please consider funding this. I will purchase used equipment. The money from this campaign will be used to buy more cameras for my students. I can buy a used film camera for around $50 compared to $500.
