mika's fund (pup in need)

mika is a 4 year old blue nose pit bull, whom we've recently learned is in need of a costly surgery, a tibial tuberosity to be more specific. this surgery requires repairing a torn cruciate ligament in her knee, which worsens the longer we put off this surgery. this injury is common among pit bulls, and can be a result of something as simple as a sprint, or making a turn too quickly. though this is an injury that couldn't have been prevented, that doesn't affect the cost of the tibial tuberosity. this is estimated to cost roughly $1,500. an amount seemingly unachievable having been denied by care credit on top of already having little to no extra money at the end of each month after all the other necessities are taken care of. half, $750 is required up front to even get the surgery started. having already reached out to animal organizations and applied for vet help grants, we don't know what else to do. if you could find it in your heart to make a donation towards mika's surgery, it would be so greatly appreciated. big or small, everything would be appreciated. if you're unable to donate, a share on facebook/twitter etc. or talking about the fund with a friend, would most definitely suffice. really any way you can think of helping please do so, donation or not! mika is so young yet, delaying or omitting this surgery will without a doubt destroy her leg in time. which with her being so young and healthy otherwise, is an absolutely heart breaking thought. she's always been spunky, exuberant, playful, full of life, sweet, cuddley; with not a mean bone in her body.. just a torn ligament.. she still is all those things, but with "in pain" added to the list. she's an absolute treasure; a joy to have. all we want is this pup healthy and happy again. playing, chasing squirrels, leaping on furniture ... just walking without a limp or pain. and unfortunately that comes with a price. a price of $1,500.. so again, we're asking for any help you can offer, donations, prayers, shares! anything and everything will be greatly appreciated. thank you for stopping and reading mika's story.
