Help a veteran get a PTSD Service Dog

Don protégé
Veterans Suffering from PTSD often have a life that seems normal but internally and mentally everyday is a battle. A fight within your self of vigilance, anxiety, paranoia, and extreme emotions.
Service dogs for people with PTSD help them refocus and give them an alternative to focus on. Helping them become a more positive interactive member of society, in essence they make you able to go to the grocery store without feeling the need to react to normal situations as if they were threats.
I began experiencing PTSD symptoms shortly after my initially being deployed, when the dangers of my job as a Truck Driver 88m, became reality. IED's, an ambush, and target acquisition were until then part of training. While deployed to Tal Afar, Iraq, I encountered several IED's was fired at many times and was even knocked unconcious after my vehicle took a direct hit that should have killed us all.
I currently have excruciating anxiety, paranoia, difficulty remembering things and sleeping, I dont leave the house and when i do it is a painful and difficult task. Mentally exhaustive and emotionally menacing, I face obstacles in simple situations that most would not dare feel hesistant. I've been seeing the VA mental health dept here in Saginaw MI but have gotten no releif. An so I began researching alternative avenues to live a more enriched and fulfilling life... and found service dogs for veterans.
Discovering they HELP. And not only do they help but that the veteran handlers experienced more normal lives than before and had remarkable success with there symptoms even decreasing the medications they were taking. That they had something positive to focus on and a tool to steer them from those distracting thoughts and feelings. And that it was working!!!
So i like anyone else in my shoes.. became anxious and excited at the thought of becoming more normal. More like everyone else, the thought of one day not feeling crazy trying to eat at a restaurant.
I contacted a local organization that said they could help but were swamped and could not get to me for 12months, disappointed i didnt give up, I then contacted a local trainer about 20 minutes from me and Voila.. my search had ended. I then began the process. I now need to raise $6000 for my service dogs training, equipment, testing and tranportation. I have begun paying for his services and by the grace of god he has allowed me to pay what i can as i can. But our training will be completed and payment must be received in full by appx. September 2014. Please help me and diesel(dog in training) to become a team. Any donation of any denomination helps .02 cents to 200$. I post pictures and set up a facebook page devoted to his and my training. So you can see where the money is going. 100%!
Diesel is a 2 year old male Pit bull, he is in training and was him self rescued. He pledges to devote his life to me, to serve me and to be there through thick and thin no matter what. He is going to be my eyes when i am nervous my ears when i am upset and my battle buddy when i'm scared. I served this country, asked no questions, day after day did my job. So that i had a country to come home to. Now it seems the scars that cant be seen n memories are whats left. PLease help me, by donating to me and diesels training you will be helping save our lives, and both of us come home for good.
