hello friends,
jess, jess's dad, tracy, and myself have finally been able to find a relatively/more accessible house that accommodates our needs. i am disabled and for the past few months have been going up and down stairs that aren't good for my leg or back. the past few nights i've struggled to make it up to my bedroom and have almost fallen a few times. almost everyone in our current home is dealing with pain issues. we can't afford to live in a house that puts all of us at risk for injuring further our already in pain bodies.
tracy is a DJ and has other full time employment but his previous paycheck was snatched by the government for "taxes." jess currently works a part time job and has been juggling finances for the past couple of weeks to help support our household. we also didn't have access to a car (we do now, yay!) so that has been a struggle in terms of getting around to our jobs and gigs.
luckily we have found a house on the 1st floor of a building with only 2 steps leading into the house. all bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same floor. we're really excited!
we just signed the lease and put down half of the deposit to secure a home we can move into starting april 15th.
our lease at our current home doesn't end until may 1st, this means that in the month of april we will have the following costs:
>>the other half of our deposit at our new place
>>1st month's rent
>>moving costs (paying for gas, renting a truck, buying basic house needs like silverware, plates, microwaves, toilet paper, chairs for our kitchen, etc)
>>and last month's rent at our current space
the makes our money situation really tight for the next several weeks.
we are essentially starting over from scratch. currently we live with jess's ex-girlfriend and a lot of the things that are in the house are hers which she will be taking when we all move out.
we're putting this ask out there to get support for our move that will be better for our health, bodies and peace of mind.
