Funding for Norwalk Fire Victims
Spende geschützt
Last night on 3/5/14 there was a terrible fire at 4001 State Rt 601. Three young men were renting the home at the time from their grandmother. Carl Hokes, Mitchell Hokes and Lucas Nash, 22, 21 and 22, respectively, were all working second shift jobs when the home's furnace caught fire. With all three residents working, no one was there to call 911 and the home burned for quite some time. luckily no one was in the home as it burned but a pet cat, Taz, did perish.
Being young men working to support themselves, renters insurance was overlooked as unnecessary and now the men have literally lost everything. Clothes, furniture, basic home items and electronics were totally lost as the fire gutted the home. Any donation will help these three young men begin to rebuild their lives.
More information about the fire can be found in the 3/7 issue of the Norwalk Reflector and photos are posted on NorwalkReflector.com.
