Kickin' It With Colie!

Hey everyone!
Nicole Dennion is one amazing young woman and a sophomore forward on our Elon University women's soccer team. Around Elon, she goes by "Colie" but many of you probably know her as the 2013 Southern Conference Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Year! In mid-February, Colie noticed a small bump on the right side of her rib cage. This led her to the hospital for X-rays, a CAT scan that revealed a tumor, and ultimately a biopsy that officially diagnosed a cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. Ewing's Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone, or soft tissue surrounding the bone, that typically is found in children and young adults. However, those of us that REALLY KNOW Colie are aware that cancer actually just caught a real bad case of Jersey redhead called NICOLE DENNION!
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind for Colie and her mother Sharon. She is in the process of withdrawing from her classes and moving back to New Jersey where she will receive treatment at the Fox Chase Cancer center in Philadelphia (about 45 minutes from her home). Nicole is just beginning her journey and we have set up this account to offset the numerous costs that are going to be associated with her relocation, living expenses, care, and travel. We all can't wait to see Colie back in uniform and out on the field again in the future. Thanks so much for your support of "Kickin' It With Colie!"
