I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather. As the days warm up please don't forget to keep yourself and your loved ones safe and buckle up! As time seems like it is flying by in your life, please keep the family who's time feels like it's standing still in your thoughts and prayers. "Miracle "Mason Clark Carney will be moved to a rehab facility in Atlanta tomorrow March 12, 2014. He needs more one on one physical therapy than Vanderbilt is able to provide at this time. Mason will have specialized physical therapy to work on improving his ability to swallow and eat on his own as well as speech therapy.
News Channel 2 did an update with Amy and Josh (Link available on the www.gofundme.com/prayingformason ) on Miracle Mason to let this every loving community know how he is doing.
My challenge that I would like to see is to not only see donations go up but also the visits to the page. Everyone that may see this page may double check the car seat their child uses daily and make sure it's installed and used correctly. Mason's story may help save a life, so please share the link www.gofundme.com/prayingformason If you are able to donate, please do that as well.
Went to see baby Mason last night and Dad requested an update from him to be posted. (As typing is difficult with one hand) Mason is doing great. A huge step of his recovery has been accomplished, he is talking.Saying mommy and daddy, and many little words at first but the biggie is he told dad (when making funny faces at him)"that's not funny". He formed a sentence and shows his cognitive abilities still intact. That's great! He remembers the name of the cat and doesn't appear to have memory loss all truly amazing. His grip in his hands seem to be a tiny bit different but just barely. He has been holding a wooden cross. Mason has been able to sit up in Mom and Dad's lap. Everyday he doing better and better.Josh wants me to add that he is doing well as well. He will have surgery on Tuesday but he is more excited about Mason's progress.
Please keep everyone in your thoughts this Sunday and coming weeks.
Mason is doing well. Getting adjusted to his new gear he will have for 3 months. He has moved to his own room on the recovery floor at Vandy. Please share the link on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or what ever you kids are into, Every little bit helps. Let's smash this goal!
