Feltman's of Coney Island

In 1867 German immigrant Charles Feltman invented the hot dog at Coney Island. By the turn of the 20th century Feltman's Restaurant became one of the largest restaurants in the world serving such guests as U.S. President William Howard Taft and legendary millionaire Diamond Jim Brady.
In 1915 Polish immigrant Nathan Handwerker got a job slicing hot dog buns at Feltman's; after the encouragement of two singing waiters named Jimmy Durante and Eddie Cantor and $300 in savings he opened his own hot dog stand on Surf Ave.
Mr. Handwerker sold 5 cent hot dogs to Feltman's 10 cent frank. Eventually Feltman's went out of business. The business named for the inventor of the hot dog was lost for eternity!
Until today....
Last year Coney Island Tours founder Michael Quinn and his brother former U.S. Army Captain Joseph Quinn decided to bring the Feltman's name back by establishing Feltman's of Coney Island, LLC. Facilitating Feltman's Pop-Up events throughout NYC.
Feltman's of Coney Island has been selling their all natural hot dogs with no nitrates or fillers. Using spices true to the original Frankfurt sausage. It's the best hot dog that you have ever tasted!
Our goal is to brand Feltman's of Coney Island Hot Dogs and eventually bring the legendary Feltman's Restaurant back home to Coney Island.
