Student Philanthropist Tree Project

Students on the Leading Edge is a grade 7/8 class at Vincent Massey that engages in a community project every year. With the recent removal of over 75 ash trees in the Russell Heights community, the students decided to reverse this impact by replanting new trees. We are working with Artistic Landscaping and want to fundraise enough for 20 maple trees. Students have researched this idea from having Ecology Ottawa to determine how the naturalization process should take place to engaging in writing grants for support.
