Kieran -National Ballet of Canada School

Kieran Murphy is a 12 year old boy who was just accepted to the National Ballet of Canada's summer program in Toronto. He would be living in residence at the school and dancing several hours each day. About 150 students across Canada have been accepted to the summer intensive and of that, 50 will be invited to dance in the professional school division this fall. If he makes the cut, there will be funding available. The summer intensive is a month long program in July and sadly, there is no funding available.
Kieran has always loved dance and started off when he was just 5 years old in Vancouver, but gave up a few years ago, after being bullied for being a boy in ballet. This fall he started again and just two months into his lessons, had to be pulled because I (his mom) just couldn't afford to pay for both his sister and him. Kieran, being selfless and giving, said it was ok to keep his sister in lessons. Kieran lives with his two younger sisters and mom. He doesn't have a lot of family around who are able to help out. He's an incredibly generous and thoughtful boy who has a heart of gold. He deserves a chance to have something wonderful happen for him.
At the audition, he was chosen, despite not having loads of experience. He was told that he shows great physical potential and that his jumps are outstanding!
Please help make Kieran's dream come true and help him reach his goal so that he can attend the National Ballet School this summer!
PS. Kieran is the second guy in the photo...the one who is leaping high into the sky! :) This was his first dance performance in Vancouver at age 4.
