help Vic battle lung cancer

In January of 2013, my sister started not feeling well. We knew something was wrong since she hadn't been to the doctor in 17 years and had made an appointment. She said nothing was wrong her arm was sore and she thought she maybe hurt it moving furniture. She has been a sales person at a furniture store for many years. The doctor said she had a torn rotator cuff and ordered physical therapy. When she wasn't getting better, he started treating her with antibiotics and continued physical therapy. She just wasn't the same person anymore. She stopped hanging out so she could stay home and rest. She wasn't as talkative and loud as her normal self. She kept telling me to quit worrying. She thought she had a really bad infection throughout her entire body. Then one day, I noticed her finger nails they looked funny to me. I started looking on the internet. I was in tears because I discovered that she had every symptom of lung cancer. I called my mom because I knew my sister had an appointment the next day. I told my mom not to get scared, but I wanted her to go to the doctor with Vicky and demand more tests because she has every symptom of lung cancer. The doctor refused to do anything and another month went by before he decided to do further testing. I remember taking her to the pulmonary specialist. The first thing he said was "let me see your hands" and compared hers with mine. He grabbed her hands with obvious concern "this is a sign of a terminal illness," he said. He says this is called "clubbing" which I already knew from the internet. This was now 3 months later, after being misdiagnosed, and on our way out my sister says "I think all these doctors are crazy, I think it's just an infection." She had a test done later and they found a mass on her lung. When waiting in the waiting room (after the biopsy) and before even sending the sample out the doctor said that he was 99% sure it's cancer. This news has changed our entire family's lives, especially since the tumor could not be removed because it was too close to the main artery. She is married and only 47 years old with one child, a daughter who is 17 and who she is very close to. She is worried about bills since she was a full time worker. She worries about the cost of her everyday expenses. She is so worried about everyone else and especially her daughter. She says it's not fair to her that she is taking care of her mom already. It should be the other way around. I am creating this fund to help with the cost of doctor bills, treatments, and everyday needs. Also to help relieve some of her stress and worry. A few days ago (Monday, January 27th) she got results back that the cancer has spread to her neck, spine, and adrenal glands. The tumor has grown. As a result, she had a powerful chemo treatment the same day. Afterwards, she had a really bad night and the doctor had to be paged in the middle of the night. They doubled up on her pain medication which didn't help. Tuesday morning she had to be back at the hospital for a vitamin shot to boost her immune system. They ended up giving her fluids, the shot and changing her pain medication, but she still ended up having another rough night. Tonight, she is finally starting to feel a little less pain. She had her doctor fax records to Northwestern and the good news is she got a call they want her to come. The bad news is she has to wait until next Tuesday. Please keep her in your prayers! She is so thankful for all the support and love everyone has already reached out to help her battle through the toughest fight of her life. Thank you and God Bless you!
