The wake for Tatyana is today. I've been fortunate to not have to attend many in my life. Too many things are wrong with this whole situation. The size of the coffin she's resting in bothers me most. The number of people that have come to pay their respects is heartwarming, though. Lots of tears are being shed. But there are a lot of smiles and laughter too. I pray the family will be able to find peace someday.
Dear friends and family,
The overwhelming support and generosity from everyone has been truly remarkable. I started this fundraiser because I wanted to help someone I cared about be able to endure this trialing time without having to worry about how to pay for a funeral no one ever wants or other mundane things that can get in the way of our daily lives. I didn't know what to expect and I have been humbled beyond anything I've ever experienced before. Thank you, a million times, thank you.
The men and women of the San Antonio Police Department have been relentless in their efforts to find the person behind this ordeal. This morning the news reported they had found the truck involved in the accident and this evening a name has been given for the person believed to have been driving it; Isidro Solis Espinoza. Anyone who has any knowledge of where to find this individual, please notify the police immediately.
As of now, funeral arrangements are still being made. Whenever they are finalized I will share the information in accordance with the wishes of the family. Humbly, I thank you all again.
Dear friends and family,
As you know yesterday Tatyana Babineaux was killed as a result of a hit and run accident. I've reached out to all of you, as Gina's friend, in her time of need. The response I've seen in so little time has been truly amazing. The cowardace of the driver that sped away is being outdone by the kindness and empathy being shone by all of you. Tragedies tend to bring out the best in us, however, you've proven the kindness of the human spirit is a powerful thing indeed. I pray the support and love expressed by all of you involved will help Gina, her family and everyone whose lives were touched by beautiful little Taty, come together and begin healing. There's still a long road ahead. Thankfully, we've all seen now that we aren't walking it alone. God bless you all.
On January 15th, 2014 the world lost an angel named Tatyana Babineaux in a hit and run accident. Taty was struck and killed while walking to school. The driver of the truck that hit her did not stop to render aid. Gina, Tatyana's mother, has suffered the worst kind of loss any parent can imagine. My heart breaks for her and her family. While nothing I can say can lessen the pain felt by Taty's death, I hope to help Gina and her family get through this trying time. A loss of this magnitude can never come at a good time but I'm hoping to help Gina through it any way I can. Any donation you can give is greatly appreciated and will be given to Tatyana's family to help see them through this.
Gina and Family, My deepest condolences for the loss of your precious and dear daughter Tatyana. My heart go out to you and yours at this most difficult time. Will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
