Fort Number 8 Restoration

Donation protected

We are trying to preserve the monument at Fort Number 8, a Revolutionary War fort that has a flagpole from an Americas Cup contender, and four cannon from the Civil War and World War I. Fort Number 8 is on the campus of Bronx Community College, the prior home of New York University.

The monument at Fort Number 8 was dedicated by Sir Thomas Lipton as a monument to the brave soldiers of New York University and their British allies who fought so valiantly in The Great War. The college does not have the money to restore the monument let alone maintain it.

Bronx Community College has given us the go ahead to try and raise the money needed to restore this monument as a memorial to all Americans who have served their country with pride and to those British allies who fought alongside us during the Great War.

Please help us meet this goal.
