DoBlu.com Redesign

DoBlu is asking for your help once again.

For DoBlu.com, 2013 was an amazing year. Thanks to a successful crowd funding campaign, the site was able to post 60 3D Blu-ray reviews in less than 12 months, and more are coming. A second writer, Christopher Zabel, was brought in to punch reviews at a regular, furious pace. Those immeasurably helpful donations kept the homegrown site up to date technically for critiques, although behind the HTML scenes, DoBlu needs help.

This year, we wish to deconstruct DoBlu from the inside out - "Gut, Redesign, Recode," if we need a movie-esque punchline - making it faster, more accessible, and load it with features. There are nearly 2,000 pieces of content in the site's database waiting to be properly utilized and organized. Of course, it takes funds to pay talented web developers who can sift through code like ninjas to spot problems and decompress sagging sections. Not only would this make for a better end user experience long term, it makes DoBlu friendlier to search engines, hopefully creating a sustainable web-based publishing business.

What if you break past your goal?

Last year, every dollar was spent. We switched hosts, secured new equipment, and redesigned just as promised. Nothing was left and it was an amazing experience. If we break 2014's spending goal, the money still funnels into the site. Whether it becomes additional storage space, larger servers, more features, or other equipment, it all helps the same.

Rewards

Donations of $20 or more will add your name to a thank you list, posted on the site when we reach our goal. You may also have relevant social media links associated with your name, per your request.

Donations of $100 will have a chance to see their own opinions of a retail Blu-ray on DoBlu's home page. Disc must approved prior to writing, and will be edited to fit the site's standards.

Donations hitting $200+ will allow a link to your own website on both DoBlu and MultiplayerGames.com for one year. The site must be appropriate, and not contain offensive material. Link is at our discretion.
