Help a Sony Fanboy Open His Gaming Mind

I would love to own a Microsoft Xbox One. I have only ever owned/played on Sony PlayStation consoles. I can't help but wonder if I am missing out, especially since I have been contributing content and podcasting for the gaming site www.joypadandme.com. I think that I need to expand my gaming horizons. Since all of the staff on the site primarily play and own Sony consoles this will help us give the Xbox some fair coverage. 

My wife and I have just moved to New Mexico State University to continue our education. Because of this, our money that is available to make a purchase like this is practically nonexistent. I'm not trying to pretend to be underprivileged. I'm just a guy who is trying to see if he has some friends and family that would be willing to pitch in a few dollars to help me get an Xbox One. I would only need 50 people to donate $10 to reach my goal. I would be forever grateful. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
