Hello and thank you for looking at this. My name is Arlo Lorenz and this is my dream. I'm in the process of building a website for swimmers named Swamthat.com and I've put together a business in Swam That LLC. By design Swam That is a charitable entity thus the free nature of the future website. My intention has always been to form up a 501C3 charity that will assist in providing water therapy for those who need it and provide gear to underprivileged individuals with an interest in swimming.
This is my passion because at the age of 12 I learned how to walk again with the assistance of a pool and physical therapists that free of charge gave their time to my cause. Although I am unable to give back to them directly my passion for the water is calling me to pay their goodwill forward on a much larger scale. More recently swimming has saved my life in multiple ways and this had lead to the development of Swam That LLC and Swamthat.com.
I would like the charity to have two primary focuses, 1) Pay for pool therapy for those like me as a child, learning to walk, or just getting outside their body for a while if they are mentally acute and trapped in a non working body such as MS, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Arthritis. 2) Provide gear, and instruction for underprivileged children who want to participate in swimming.
My heart is in the right place and I will eventually gain 501C3 charitable status but at this time the funding is not available to do so. I've simply poured everything into the formation of the website and still need to provide for my youthful family. I've set up an account to accept donations to get my 501C3 charitable status and would appreciate your support. All donated funds will go to the formation of the 501C3 until a point where this is completed. Remaining funds will be distributed to those in need after the completion of an application process.
