A Pensioner In Her 80s Robbed

An elderly pensioner was left shaken after her purse was stolen in M&Co in Broad Street, March on Friday 31st August. The pensioners name is Marie and the words below have been put together by a good friend of hers. This is her account of what happened One woman ‘tripped’ over her foot and as she turned, she believes it was a second woman that took her purse from her coat pocket. The staff at M&Co were very helpful. The lady is in her eighties and had parked her mobility scooter outside the shop. Her purse contained over £160 which she had just drawn out from her pension to top-up her gas and electricity meters and do some shopping. How can anyone be so heartless as to prey on the elderly and vulnerable. Let’s see if we can raise some money to put back into a new purse.
