Mission: We are a group of
college engineering students helping to better the working conditions of
Our Project: We are creating a portable, detachable motor for the average manual wheelchair. It is a DC motor attached to the back of almost any wheelchair model. The device clips on to the back of the chair using two strong clips. The batteries and controls are stored in a special backpack that will also carry the device when in transport. Special considerations have been made to guarantee the safety of the person in the wheelchair.
We Need Your Help: The design has already been complete, however we have no current funds to make the prototype. With your help, we can make the working prototype for our contact with multiple sclerosis and enter the Ability One Design Challenge.
Please help us create this device so that the average person in a wheelchair can afford the movement they deserve.
