My mother Patricia Prewitt is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for 50 years for the murder of my father. This whole nightmare started when I was 14 in 1984. I am now 44.
Patty has served over 27 years in prison. I believe my mother is innocent and so do many others! We are currently asking Gov. Nixon in Missouri to grant her clemency which would change her sentence to life with a chance of parole. I am currently writing a book, articles and putting together my website. My sons are grown and now is the time for me to focus fully on this endeavor. I am raising funds so I can spend my time researching, writing, investigating, interviewing and being interviewed, putting together events and visiting my mom who lives across the state. I have many great ideas and lots of emotional support but need funds to follow through. You can read more about my mom at her webpage and on her Facebook. You can also find me on https://www.facebook.com/jane.vanbenthusen">Facebook. You can sign a petition and you can read the most recent article written by her original attorney who is now a retired judge. Thank you so much for considering helping us in this effort! Any amount can and will help! Blessings and Love, Jane Prewitt Van Benthusen
