This is Lois Molandes. She is my 89 year old Grandmother who was the victim of fraud. Her housekeeper stole her life savings. When my Grand father died he had left her around 12,000 dollars. Over the years she had always tried to never let her account get below that.The housekeeper admitted what she had done was arrested and then bonded out. So while she walks free my Grandmother has become ill over this. She did 2 weeks in the hospital and is now in a nursing home. Medicare will pay for the first 20 days after that we are not sure what we will do.
This incident has been very publicized. Thanks to KTRE. Regions bank is denying that they have any liability and refusing to return her money.
We are currently trying to raise enough money to keep her in the nursing home until enough time has passed that she can qualify for Medicaid.
Lois's hearing is going, her body is frail, but her heart and mind are strong. Her and my Grandfather raised me to be a good and respectable person. We don't live off of anyone or anything but our blood sweat and tears. Please help me help her.
