We are in desperate need of help! Our shelter houses many in need who have no where else to go, who are now on the streets of Lansing. The City of Lansing just shut us down because our building isn't up to code (We were told we have electrical issues) We take anybody and everybody that other shelters turn away. We are open 24/7 for the homeless to come in and get warm, have a hot meal, do their laundry and have church service. We also feed and clothe. We appreciate any donations we receive! God Bless!

JoAnn Forsberg Yesterday at 10:46am Edited My husband and son are in prison due to mandatory minimums. We don't even use medical marijuana. But do belief in it's life saving benefits. So my husband leased six different grow rooms to six different growers as they did not want it in home due to children. DEA raided us and destroyed upstanding men labeling them now as felons. But the true suffering in Mid-Michigan are the homeless that are on the street in the cold. Compassion got husband and son thrown in Federal prison. And there not being in our local community is putting many homeless on the street in bitter cold weather. Hi. Heart is heavy regarding homeless shelter. Her's why: One area Dennis and Lance were very concerned about as they knew they were going to prison was the homeless. Each fall Dennis hosted a wild game event to earn large sums of cash to pay heat bills, electricity for a homeless shelter. Then around Thanksgiving he would take venison and other game dish cooked by top local Chef'f to the homeless shelter. It was so looked forward to by homeless people. So Dennis and Lance not here to help the homeless is effecting the community. That same kindness they have done for years is the same reason they are in prison. As we don't need medical marijuana for our health. We understood comments of marijuana saved lives. Stopped seizures. Now, today I am heart broken that homeless people are on the street because Dennis and Lance were not here to do that find raiser in fall to pay heat, electrical bills all winter. That's a story the news should do. That one injustice can cause a negative effect to others in need. Sorry but I am crying right now seeing this pictures as this is what Dennis was referring to in the video done by Bonnie Bucquriox. This was the fear we had without the fundraiser. I live in NC. So I could not be the leader as Lance and Dennis had.

I am sharing this with everyone I know! We will get you the help you need. If all of us donate $1.00 they could reach their goal quickly.
