Love for Killian

Meet Killian: he's a 12 week old red and white pit bull puppy who came into the animal hospital where we work with complaints by the owner of not eating, lethargy, diarrhea, and vomiting. After an exam and bloodwork was done, it became quite obvious that he more than likely has Parvovirus.

Parvovirus is a highly contagious disease among dogs. It causes dysentery, severe vomiting, and if left untreated, it can be fatal.

His owners, unfortunately, could not afford the treatment that he will require and wanted to put him to sleep. The employees couldn't bear to see that happen when there was hope for Killian to recover. After some discussion with one of the employees of the clinic and Killian's owners, he was signed over to the employee.

What this means is that while he is now in the care of the techs and assistants, we are responsible for the expense of his treatment. This is something we're all willing to chip in for, but we're asking for help too since the veterinary field isn't a rich one.
