To Get Google Glass for Epic Game Idea

Donation protected
Recently I have received a invite from Google, to participate in the Google Glass Explorer's Program. (If you aren't very familiar with Google Glass, go on youtube and look it up.)

After filling out all my information, I had the impression that they would be affordable for any user, but surprisingly the cost for the pair of Google Glass Explorer Edition are 1500.00, when I saw that price, my jaw dropped and I could not believe that.

I wanted to get Google Glass for many reasons,

ONE - My Job.
I currently do Field Applications in the Medical World. To put it this way, If you ever get your blood drawn or urinate in a cup, the machine that gives the doctor results, are what I work on and verify, so that they are giving accurate and correct results.

With Glass and my field, it would be very beneficial to be able to just say "Google, What is the standard dynamic range of glucose in the state of Georgia." And I would see the result in my field a view. That to me would be amazing, and would help me increase my efficiency dramatically. Instead of having to pull out my laptop or looking it up on my phone I can continue working and minimize my error rate during validations.

I could get more into detail about the use of Glass in my field but I'll keep it short.

Second - Game Idea.
Ever since I watched a great video on YouTube of Sergey Brin explaining why he wanted to develop Glass, and he gave the reason of, people are to drawn on looking down into a hand held device and blocking out the people around them, making them more and more anti-social to those right there physically next to them. Also Albert Einstein said "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots."

I tend to see more and more groups of friends all sitting with each other staring down at their cell phones playing games, instead of being social, or playing a social interactive game.

Now with Glass, I wanted to develop a game that would be extremely interactive, mentally, physically, and socially. With Glass and Google, they have started mapping inside of locations such as Malls, Stadiums, Convention Centers, ETC.

I want to make a Augmented Reality Game that would have multiple game modes, but I will explain two.

*Capture the Flag* - Say you are in a mall during holiday season, you open the game app and see multiple games open, you join a current live game. At two different points in the mall are zones where you can walk/run/sneak etc to. Once in that zone you know hold the virtual flag. You now must get the oppositions flag to your zone without being tagged by opposing team (other people playing the game.) First to Said points wins, then the game switches sides.

*Capture the Locations* - Now your in a convention center, there are 3 Locations on the indoor map that you must get to, in order to capture, and after a designated amount of time you and or your teammates have captured the zone. You want to capture multiple locations to accumulate points, first team with said points wins the match.

With this type of game, people would be more active, be having fun, and be social to the people they are playing with, you never know you might make a new friend while you are playing one of the game modes.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask me. You can send any questions, or if you are interested in the development process of my game please email me at ([email redacted])

Thanks Again Guys for Reading, and If you help me get a pair of Google Glass, You are Amazing!
