Hello Everyone :)
I will be competing for the title of Miss Massachusetts USA on November 22nd- 23rd at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts. I am very excited to have the opportunity to compete in this pageant, as many people do not get this opportunity in their lifetime.
The Miss Massachusetts USA pageant is an official state competition to the prestigious Miss USA and Miss Universe Organizations. I recently became aware of what a pageant was after my friend won the title of Miss Western Massachusetts. As many of you are well aware I was supposed to compete in a fitness show this past April. Because of several health issues I did not get to do that. I damaged my body very much by starving myself for so long that I decided to do a pageant while my metabolism is recovering from everything that it I put it through.
The Miss USA and Miss Universe organizations empower young women to pursue their intellectual and professional goals while also supporting charitable foundations, and also serving as a role model to those in the community. The young women who compete in these type of pageants are goal oriented, and have a passion for serving others.
I am very passionate about helping women of all ages fight eating disorders. Almost 2 years ago I overcame self image problems, and an eating disorder with the help of lifting weights and eating clean on a regular basis. I want to start doing more with that. The pageant will allow me to do so. I want to speak at events, and give young women the tools to overcome and recover from eating disorders. I want to be that person that they can talk to and they will not feel judged.
