Jeremy Daniel Strahm, 38, of Westfield, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on November 27, 2013.
Jeremy was born on June 2, 1975 in Bluffton, Indiana to Daniel D. Strahm and Trudith Marie (Dunn) Captain. Jeremy graduated from Norwell High School, Ossian, Indiana and Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He was a mortgage banker with Hallmark Home Mortgage.
Jeremy's magnetic personality and charm made him someone that people loved to be around. In turn, Jeremy also loved to be around people. He was deeply involved with his church, Orchard Park Presbyterian, where Jeremy served as a Trustee. He touched the lives of so many and spent countless hours helping others. Jeremy had an endless circle of friends and was always available to help anyone on a moment's notice. He loved spending time with his family and was a coach and mentor to his children as well as others.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Erica (Miele) Strahm, and their children: William (10), Lucy (8), Samuel (6), and Charles (three weeks). He is also survived by his mother, his stepfather Robert Captain, and his stepmother Donna Strahm. Additional survivors include Jeremy's sisters: Megan (Ron) Simerman of Ossian, Molly Captain of Westfield, Mariah Captain of Bluffton; stepbrothers Randal (Mallory Hockett) Harris of Noblesville and Ryan Harris of Fort Wayne, and stepsister Darlene (Nick) Edleman of Georgia. Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Daniel D. Strahm.
Visitation is Thursday, December 5th from 4-7pm at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church located at 1605 East 106th Street in Indianapolis, Indiana 46280. Funeral services will be Friday, December 6th at 11am also at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be announced at a later date.
