Breed Specific Legislation affects all dog lovers, not just Pit Bull (Pibble) lovers. It is a modern day witch hunt to eradicate specific breeds. BSL is not exclusive to Pibbles. There are many areas of the country that have bans on Basset Hounds, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, Rottweilers, and more. Getting rid of this deplorable law in the areas that currently have and are thinking about instituting it is Bikers Against BSL's mission.
We want to educate the public about the horrors that BSL inflicts upon families. We want to educate people about Pibbles. We want to dispel the many myths the media continues to perpetuate about these dogs. We want to replace BSL with a solution that actually works, and punishes the owners of aggressive, dangerous dogs. We want tighter restrictions on breeding, and mandatory, low cost spay and neuter programs.
Bikers Against BSL wants to expand globally, and fight this unnecessary discrimination around the world. Discrimination against any living creature, not just humans, is wrong. Bikers Against BSL wants to unite all of those that oppose this barbaric law, and create a unified voice that will not be able to be ignored any longer.
We can do this. You can help. This campaign is to help Bikers Against BSL file as a non profit in the state of Illinois (other states to follow), and to gain 501c3 status with the federal government. It it also to cover operational costs for us.
