Do you think you can spare a dollar? It takes so little but it can go a long way. A dollar is all it takes to make a child happy this Christmas! Hi there. Just wanted to share my first mission trip to India earlier this year. It is a beautiful country but the level of need just astounds me! I have uploaded a picture of the children I took in one of the villages that I visited. Do you notice something missing in the picture? That's right. No shoes! The children wear a decent amount of clothing but they don't wear shoes! I did ask the village adults as to why their children went without shoes and they replied that they had no money to waste on something so unimportant! You cannot imagine how hot the ground is and yet these children play around barefooted with a smile on their faces. Before I left, I gave away all my sandals and slippers to a few of the children. The joy on their faces said it all. I vowed I would go back and my mission this time around is just to provide the children with at least one pair of shoes this Christmas.
Anyway I am making my way to India again this December and I would like you to help me make my dream a reality. I want to be the Shoe Santa this year for Christmas in India. Please give as much as you can. Even a little goes a long way.
I count it my blessing to be able to do this and I am thankful for the opportunity. Even if you choose not to donate, I encourage you to do good things and help others in some way, whether it be someone across the street or somewhere around the world.
