4th Annual Rally Against Rape

The 4th Annual Rally Against Rape  and Northern Virginia Take Back The Night is an event dedicated to combating sexual violence and raising awareness about the prevalence of rape and sexual assault in our communities.

About the Event
The 4th Annual Rally Against Rape will take place at Gateway Park (Rosslyn) on Thursday April 28, 2016, beginning at 6 pm.

The program will include, opportunities for survivors, victims, and others affected by sexual violence to share their stories and speak out against rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence, and will end with a candlelight vigil. People of all genders, ages, races, religions, and backgrounds are welcome to attend.

Take Back The Night  first appeared in Europe in 1976 and has continued throughout the world as a sign of empowerment for women, men, and children.

Rally Against Rape is a grassroots, community-action project supported by community members, businesses and organizations, anti-rape advocates, and political leaders who want to live and work in communities free from sexual assault, rape, and other forms of violence.
