Garrison Hayes (Writer/Director) and David Tilstra (Producer) here!
We are senior Film Production majors at Southern Adventist University. This year, as a graduation requirement, we have been tasked with seeing a film project to its completion. We are extremely excited about this opportunity and we want to invite you to share in this journey with us!
Here’s a brief synopsis of the film we are making: In the technologically advanced, but not-so-bright future, our world is falling apart. James, a third generation farmer, is forced to make a decision; hold on to the only thing he knows or the only family he has.
This short film, which will be about 10 minutes long, takes a practical and compelling look at Salvation and how our actions directly affect those around us. Especially our family.
This will be a Christian film like nothing you have ever seen before! Through advanced storytelling techniques and incredible visual effects artistry, we can make a film that will completely change the way we look at Christian cinema.
Making a movie is a HUGE challenge! Not only does it take a lot of time, collaboration, and energy, it take a lot of money! Filmmakers need hundreds of millions of dollars to make the “masterpieces” of Hollywood!
We are, however, trying to make our masterpiece for just over $5,000. A modest budget for what will be an incredibly powerful film.
We believe wholeheartedly that with YOUR help we can make this film, we can change Christian filmmaking, and hopefully one day we can change the world.
Even if you can only spare $10, we encourage you to support this project! Any and all contributions will be equally appreciated! To show that appreciation, each contributor, no matter how much you give, will receive a copy of the film and a personalized “thank you” from crew members!
